Summary
The device facilitates the fabrication of ME laminate configuration by using a flextensional cymbal located between two terfenol-D plates. A giant magnetoelectric effect in a heterostructure is achieved by clamping an ME terfenol-D alloy actuator and a cymbal-type piezoelectric single crystal-brass alloy transducer in a brass alloy frame.
