Summary

The system provides mobile video surveillance service for enterprises using mobile internet technology and cloud platform. All front end surveillance devices can be plugged in and used immediately by connecting to the cloud platform through the mobile internet. The administrator can manage the surveillance devices and modify the surveillance services through the cloud virtual surveillance network. Users can perform the surveillance operations (e.g. watch the real-time video, control the PTZ camera, replay the recorded video, receive the alarm, transfer bi-directional voice, find the camera geo-location, etc.) using different devices (e.g. mobile phone, tablet, desktop PC, etc.).

•Complete Mobile Surveillance Solution
The system supports both the 3G video call network and 3G data network. It supports the WCDMA, TD-SCDMA and EVDO standards. The camera can simultaneously connect to the cloud platform through the PPP-dailup 3G data network and wait for the call through 3G video call network. The camera will switch to the 3G video call mode when the video call is received or when the alarm video call is made. And it will automatically connect to the internet after the video call is ended.

•User Self-service Cloud Platform
The Platform as a Service (PaaS) used in the system provides users the self-service cloud functions (e.g. control the virtual camera cluster, synchronize the recorded video, manage local recorded video, manage the alarm system, manage users, etc.)

•Intellisense and Alarm Function
The camera will handle the alarm event following the user selected alarm strategies stated below when the alarm signal is detected by the motion detector and external alarm sensors:
•rotate and focus on the alarm zone that activates the alarm
•send the alarm notification message to user client terminal
•make a video call to user’s mobile phone
•send SMS to user’s mobile phone
•record the video
•capture the camera shot

•Geo-location Function
The camera collects the GPS information, base station information, WIFI SSID and IP address and sends them to user client terminal to obtain the geo-location. The user client software will obtain the accurate location using Google’s geo-location function or the less accurate location using the public IP and display the cameras on the map view. This function provides users the location-based video surveillance management. For example, enterprises can select and watch the real-time video based on the location of the stores.
