Asymmetric Doherty Power Amplifier

Summary: The Doherty power amplifier (DPA), a component used in wireless communication devices, has two sub-amplifiers operating at different power levels. The differing bias conditions usually lead to unbalanced current driving ability and efficiency reduction. Unlike common techniques employed to achieve identical maximum current for the two amplifiers, no power loss and gain degradation will be resulted.
