用于鉆石的顏色分級的方法及裝置
The invention relates to methods and apparatus for analyzing diamond colors by measuring the spectrum of light that passes through a cut diamond. A diamond is submerged in water or an optically clear liquid, and a light from a diffused daylight-approximating source is shot through the table facets of the submerged diamond. A color digital camera is used to obtain image data from the diamond for color analysis and grading. The camera is linked to a data processor which stores and analyzes the image data. The color values thus obtained can be compared against any color grade standard of diamonds; for example, the absolute grades set by the Gemmological Institute of America.
