- *Abstract
-
Biosensor exhibiting linear response for testing of ionic solutions, blood, or other test media to lend itself for deploying as a single-use biosensor for in vitro biomedical applications or even long-term glucose monitoring in industrial processes. Utilizes differential pulse voltammetric technique and a cuprous oxide (Cu2O) or cupric oxide (CuO) nanoparticle film on the working electrode. Overcomes inherent limitations of enzyme-based glucose sensors; namely, accuracy, reproducibility of results, and shelf-life of the sensor and its chemical constituents.
