- *Abstract
-
NaturalKiller (NK) cells or T cells that are resistant to TGF-β have been shown tohave improved anti-cancer activity against TGF-β -secreting tumors. However, current methods for generating TGF-B resistant cell lines require large amountsof costly clinical-grade TGF-β. Researchers at Nationwide Children’s Hospital havedeveloped a novel feeder cell line that delivers a reproducible amount of TGF-Bsignal to natural killer (NK) cells during expansion, generating TGF-βresistant NK cells. This technology provides a simple, cheap, and reproducibleprocess for generating TGF-β resistant cells for research or therapeuticapplications.
