*Abstract: Background
Traditional vase designs feature a circular opening and a circular bottom with varying degrees of width from top to bottom. New designs which feature different shapes provide decorators with increased decorative variety which can appease niche markets who desire individuality.

Technology
An artist at the University of Iowa has prepared a unique new vase design with a wide rounded triangular opening which narrows in a curved fashion down to an egg-shaped bottom. Illustrations of the innovative design are shown below.
