- Detailed Technology Description
- Antibody that recognizes the M2 transmembrane protein of influenza virus#researchtool #antibody
- *Abstract
-
Northwestern researchers have developed a monoclonal antibody for detection of the influenza M2 protein (clone 14C2). This protein is vital for viral infection of host cells and as such has been a target of many research efforts since its discovery. This antibody has been successfully used to detect M2 via several standard experimental techniques and is expected to continue to contribute to influenza research efforts.
