*Abstract
About 7,000,000 couples suffer from infertility in USA; however, only around 150,000 cycles of in vitro fertilization are performed each year. There are several reasons for this large drop-off, including extremely high cost associated with current infertility treatments. In prior art, there are no established methods for inducing cellular (especially stem/progenitor) differentiation using mechano-stimulatory approaches. Moreover, the existing differentiation methods are associated with relatively poor efficiency. This invention relates to novel methods and compositions for generating oocytes and eggs using mechano-stimulatory cellular differentiation approaches.
