*Abstract: "The assay utilizes 96- or 384-well plates lined with nickel-coated beads (His-plate). Recombinant His- Pol├ƒ-8K is expressed in E. coli and purified to homogeneity. [His-Pol├ƒ-8K is a recombinant, Nterminal His-tag modified sub-domain of Pol├ƒ corresponding to the 5ΓÇÖdRP lyase or (8K) domain](5).The protein is bound to the plates via the N-terminal His-tag and unbound protein is washed from the plate.
