Hyper-Spectral Imaging (HSI), also known as spectroscopic imaging, is a technique that integrates conventional imaging with spectroscopy to attain both spatial image and spectral information. This is like a 2D image but with every pixel providing detailed spectral information.  Hyper-spectral Imaging (HSI) technology has been around for more than 30 years and is deployed mainly in defence and satellite remote-sensing applications. In recent years, we have developed a cost-effective HSI sensors and solutions. This widens its use in commercial and industrial applications. Utilizing additional information in spectral domain, our HSI technologies also opened up new opportunities in tackling complex sensing scenarios and various video analytics applications.
