Hyper-Spectral Imaging (HSI), also known as spectroscopic imaging, is a technique that integrates conventional imaging with spectroscopy to attain both spatial image and spectral information. This is like a 2D image but with every pixel providing detailed spectral information.  Hyper-spectral Imaging (HSI) technology has been around for more than 30 years and is deployed mainly in defence and satellite remote-sensing applications. In recent years, we have developed a cost-effective HSI sensors and solutions. This widens its use in commercial and industrial applications.
