Robotic Robot Swarm - Visual control of a swarm of robotic robots
- Summary
- Intelligent, image- based navigation method. The method is based on a number of simple principles that make it easy to control the complexity of the control software. Because the swarms together build a 'topological' map with no positional information, they do not have to spend a lot of time on a common coordinate system. This method uses inexpensive camera sensors with panoramic optics for navigation. It is scalable to any number of robotic robots (even for one robot only), robust against single robot failure and flexible when adding or removing robots.
