SUpDEq - Spatio-temporal spectral equalization of spherically measured head-related transfer functions
- Summary
- The innovation SUpDEq (Spatial Upsampling by directional Equalization) is based on the spatial-temporal-spectral separation of the spherical data sets. As a result, the energy of the HRTF sets in the SH domain shifts to much lower orders. A much lower spatial order can therefore be used for measurement, storage and interpolation. Thus, the number of records measured is reduced from about 2700 to only 100-300, without the errors in interpolation increasing relevant or artifacts becoming audible when using the records.
