*Abstract: Non-Confidential Abstract of Invention: A method has been demonstrated that generates a cutting process, wherein the rock ahead of a drilling head is removed, over the area of the drill face, such that the drill can advance into that volume. This material removal (which can, in other circumstances, include the building debris from a collapsed building, including concrete. metal, ceramic and glass and other materials) is achieved without rotation of the cutting head, such that the process of feeding the supply line to the drilling head, and the cuttings removed from the drilling process, are significantly simplified.
