Software Converts Excel File Data for Display on Mobile Devices
- Summary
- Researchers at Purdue University have developed a software tool that converts Microsoft Excel file data into a format that displays on mobile devices. This software tool simplifies the process of making mobile directories for organizations. An Excel file containing typical directory information, i.e., name, address, telephone number, and email address, is input into the tool, which then parses the data into a format that displays on mobile devices. With this software, the time it takes to create a directory is significantly reduced, saving both time and money on development costs. Developing future versions of a directory is automated.
