Multilayer coextrusion technologies that enable the preparation of multilayered membrane structures completely without solvents. The elimination of solvents reduces the production of separation membranes to coextrusion and post process stretching. This provides for efficient production of effective, safe, and non-toxic barrier membranes for utility in a variety of fluid and gas barrier/separation applications, particularly the food industry.
