Researchers have developed a language learning tool that helps students immensely in self-learning and self-correction. Despite the myriad studies on corrective feedback in second language acquisition and second language pedagogy research literature, few studies address the issue of the learner as the source of feedback. In other words, the student is providing self error correction support. This software, in contrast, focuses on the learner as a primary source of corrective feedback. Based on classroom anecdotal evidence, we believe learners are an effective source of corrective feedback if provided with opportunity, time, and support. Applications:* Language learning based classesAdvantages:* A unique combination of Revolution's capabilities in this tool permits the integration of audio recording and text input* No tool that readily allows the type of activity that this tool does* Out of class speaking assignments can be assigned, giving the students more time to practice speaking while not in the classroom.Copyright
