The utility model provides a dozing detection alarm which comprises a brain wave data acquisition unit which comprises an electrode contacting the heads of detected people, a signal processing circuit, an alarm device and a digital signal processor which is respectively connected with the brain wave data acquisition unit and the alarm device, and carries out FFT arithmetic according to the data which is input by the brain wave data acquisition unit. Then, the processor obtains the data of brain wave amplitude value and the spectral distribution of the detected people. The processor judges the condition that the brain wave amplitude value of the detected people is equal to or bigger than two times of amplitude value reference value and judges the condition that the spectral distribution of the detected people, and if the data wave spectrum component of 4-8Hz occupies more than 25% of the total spectrum and alpha wave spectrum component of 8-13Hz occupies more than 10% of the total spectrum, the signal processor sends signals to the alarm device. The utility model can efficiently and reliably prevent drivers from dozing when the drivers drive the vehicles and prevent traffic accident from happening.
