Asia IP Exchange (AsiaIPEX) is a free online intellectual properties trading platform and database. Developed and managed by Hong Kong Trade Development Council, AsiaIPEX showcases IP around the globe, aiming to facilitate international IP trade and connection to global IP players.
AsiaIPEX has successfully formed alliances with more than 30 strategic partners from around the globe as well as local R&D centres and technology transfer units of local universities, and featured over 25,000 tradable IP listings.

Start my search
- Click on the IP type icons (i.e. patents, copyrights, trademarks and registered designs) near the centre of our homepage; or
- Click on the “Find IP” tab on the menu bar. Choose a category from the pull down menu; or
- Do a keyword search by using the search box near the top right corner
Refine my search
You can refine your search results by adding filter(s) by:
- Choosing a category from the panel on the left; and/or
- Choosing a keyword from the Tag Cloud on the right; and/or
- Making up your own tag(s) on the filter bar
If you want to remove a filter, simply click the “-” sign of the tag on the filter bar.
Become a member of AsiaIPEX
As a member, you will be given access to more detailed information on the IP listings. The registration is simple and takes less than a minute:
- Click the “Create New Account” button at the top right corner
- Fill in the registration form
- An email will be sent to your registered email
- Activate your AsiaIPEX member account
- The system will direct you back to the Portal
