Application No.: 14/204,212The presently disclosed subject matter relates in part to compositions comprising antimicrobial-loaded delivery vehicles adapted to differentially release antimicrobial agents to target sites. The presently disclosed subject matter relates in part to compositions comprising a one or more delivery vehicles comprising one or more antimicrobial agents, wherein the delivery vehicles are adapted to release the antimicrobial agents intracellularly and/or extracellularly. Also provided are articles of manufacture comprising the compositions and methods for employing the compositions to treat microbial infections.
