Suppressing Alignment in OFDM-Based Systems
Significant reduction in both peak-to-average power ratio and the high out-of-band interference in OFDM systems.
reduction in peak-to-average power ratio, reduction in high out-of-band interference in OFDM systems
USF inventors have addressed the drawbacks by generating a suppressing signal at the OFDM transmitter that jointly reduces the OOB interference and the PAPR. The suppressing signal is properly designed so that it is aligned with the redundantduration provided by the cyclic prefix (CP) after passing through the wireless channel. Therefore, the data portion of the OFDM signal is not affected by the suppressing signal leading to an interference-free transmission. Furthermore, the developed approach does not reduce the transmission data rate and achieves significant reduction in both PAPR and OOB.
