Each switching node connects to incoming and outgoing links to which data is sent and received. Configuration information is provided on routing trees involving the switching node. A sequence of time bands is defined associated with the routing trees. Configuration information is received for particular time bands.The system provides effective bandwidth utilization and supports efficient interconnection.
