Fuel quality judging device, and fuel quality judging method
Provided are a judging device capable of judgingthe quality of a fuel reliably at a low cost, and a judging method therefor. The device comprisesa combustion chamber for burning the fuel injected from an injection nozzle, temperature adjusting means for adjusting the temperature in the combustion chamberbefore the fuel injection, injection control means for controlling the injection of the fuel from the injection nozzle, light quantity measuring means for measuring the light quantity of a flameresulting from a combustion in the combustionchamber, and analyzingmeans for analyzing the measurement result in the light quantity measuring means, tojudge the quality of the fuel. The analyzing means controls the temperatureadjusting means and the injection control means, to set the inside of thecombustion chamber to a predetermined temperature thereby to bum the fuel a pluralityof times, and specifies the varyingcurve of the light quantity of the flame, as rises with the lapse of time after the combustion start, to judge thequality of the fuel on the basis of the dispersion in the varying curve of the light quantity in eachcombustion.
