Dr. Ding and his lab havedeveloped a top-down nanosecond laser-based high-throughput surfacenano-structuring process. This allowsscale up of nano-structuring speed for a large surface area. This expedited process comprises two steps: ahigh energy nanosecond pulse laser scans, followed by a chemical treatment. Surface tests of wettability and reflectance demonstratedenhanced results for super-hydrophobic and anti-reflective properties.
