Efficient microfluidic device for rapid development and screening of oligonucleotide aptamers
- 總結
- Aptamers are small oligonucleotides capable of recognizing and binding to molecules in complex biological environments, making them useful tools for basic research, clinical diagnostics, and therapy. Conventional techniques for developing new aptamers involve labor-intensive screening techniques that take months to complete, slowing their deployment and widespread use. This technology is a microfluidic device for the iterative screening and development of aptamers against a user-defined target. This device can produce high-affinity aptamers in a few hours at reaction volumes of less than five microliters. As such, this technology could greatly improve the diversity and quality of aptamers in biomedical research and advance personalized medicine through creating patient-specific diagnostic and therapeutic tools.
