The quality of the image is preserved immaterial of the projected surface. The method of projecting an image on a surface involves projecting the display image on the surface. The projected image is captured and is compared with the image to be displayed. A compensated image produced based on this comparison is then projected onto the surface.The method enables projection of images virtually on any surface while improving the quality of image output. The method also enables projection of images onto a surface in such a way as to control the appearance of the surface.
