Design of a Novel Mobility Device Controlled by the Walking Action of a Standing Child
- 詳細技術說明
- Useof traditional mobile-assistive devices by atypically developing infants andtoddlers does little to encourage the child’s development of gross motorskills. This device allows for a “bio-driven” walking design where the child mimicsa walking gait while standing on Pioneer 3-DX robot for generating motion. Theinvention consists of a series of fixtures to support a walking child, assembled on top of the robot. A single camera located on the device tracks themotion of square markers attached to each of the child’s calves, signaling therobot to move at a velocity proportional to the velocity of the child’s feet.In addition, a joystick mounted onto the front of the device to allow the childto control the turning velocity of the robot.
