Silicon/Group III-V Dual Cell Solar Module
- 詳細技術說明
- A solar module is described comprising two dissimilar diodecells, one generally composed of silicon that is larger in area, and onegenerally composed of a group III-V material that is smaller in area. Focusing optics bring sunlight directlyfrom the Sun’s disc onto the III-V cell. The silicon cell captures light scattered off the atmosphere. Thus this device improves uponpreviously disclosed modules comprising only the III-V cell and focusingoptics, thus neglecting atmospheric scattered sunlight. The additional capture of atmosphericsunlight by the incorporated silicon cell results in a 15-30% gain inefficiency of the present invention compared to previous art.
