The Technology
Ultra-long aligned carbon nanotube arrays with aspect ratios >100 are produced via a hot filament chemical vapor deposition technique on nano-structured alumina substrates. Typical yields of > 400% SWNT mass per unit mass of substrate are achieved as compared to ~30% for production of entangled SWNTS using existing processes
