Secure, Energy-Efficient Protocol for Wireless Multi-hop Sensor Networks
- 總結
- Researchers at Purdue University have developed two novel protocols to securely and efficiently reprogram wireless networks while maintaining high throughput capability. The first protocol enables a computer to upload programs wirelessly to a remote sensor network. The second protocol provides the ability to provide security to the data transmission, prohibiting eavesdropping and unauthorized access.

- *Background
- As sensor networks operate over long periods of deployment in difficult to reach places, their requirements may change or new code may need to be uploaded to them. Unfortunately, most current methods are not scalable, limiting the size of the sensor network. Other methods require a large data overhead resulting in poor energy efficiency for the network.
