*Abstract

Inventors have created a simple and intuitive software tool for modeling systems. The invention allows for simple modeling as well as more detailed control over atypical system logic when required. The discrete event simulation tool invention is both process-driven and event-driven, thus providing ample flexibility. The tool is extensible, allowing for the easy addition of model components to fit needs within specific application areas. Because of its unique integration of process and event logic, the tool provides a powerful platform for education and training in modeling and simulation.
