*Abstract
Novel neurostimulation to restore the function of the genitourinary system. The innovators have developed a new strategy for pudendal nerve stimulation to treat both overactive bladder and detrusor sphincter dyssynergia. Neuromodulation in the genitourinary system to date can only stimulate one peripheral nerve and induce a blockade of the overactive bladder. The inventors have developed a peripheral nerve stimulation parameter and technique to not only inhibit the overactive bladder during the urine storage phase, but also through an alternation in frequency, block the sphincter response during micturtion. This would allow a patient who cannot urinate to able to "turn on" the bladder and "turn off" the sphincter when he or she wants to void.Applications:1) To control urinary incontinence and restore voluntary control micturition.2) Increase sexual sensation and function in men and women.3) Stimulate the anal sphincter to inhibit fecal incontinence and neuroblockade to treat constipation.Non Provisional Patent Application Filed
