Summary: The cell-matrix microsphere can be used for producing a biomolecule and for injecting or implanting into tissues of animals or humans (claimed), for tissue repair or regeneration, e.g. for skin wound or an injured cartilage. It can also be used as therapeutics, and as three-dimensional (3D) microcarriers. The cell-matrix microspheres can also be used to immobilize other therapeutic molecules, e.g. factors inducing specific differentiation lineage such as Transforming Growth Factor (TGF) beta for chondrogenic differentiation, and anti-inflammatory drugs.
