- The invention relates to a process for the biological purification of waste air in an environment with a temperature higher than 35 ° C from volatile organic acids and / or their deri+3:9vatives, a biofilm, a carrier medium and a biofilter filling for carrying out this process. The biofilter carrier medium is enriched with volatile organic acid as a secondary energy source for immobilized microorganisms. The biofilm consists of a bacterial mixture of the thermophilic strain Geobacillus caldoxylosilyticus BGSC W98A1 and the thermotolerant strain Aeribacillus pallidus in a ratio ranging from 1: 5 to 5: 1 and the exhaust air is fed to the biofilter in the temperature range 35 to 75 ° C.
