Theneed for high performance, low cost, and low profile antennas has becomeincreasingly prominent with the rise of powerful smartphones and the Internetof Things market. Technology in this field has evolved tremendously over thelast decade, and the coming 5G revolution has kick started investment intodeveloping more efficient antennas.Currently, high gain antennas includinghorn and reflector designs are used as the “feeder” antennas for the maintransmission and reflection purposes. These designs are effective in high-gain,but are bulky and heavy, resulting in higher manufacturing cost and difficultyin fabrication.  A low-cost design forproducing high performance antennas is greatly needed in the market.
