This new discovery has found that cardiac glycoside Lanatoside C - an inhibitor of dengue virus, flavivirus Kunjin, alphavirus Chickingunya, and enterovirus - also effectively stops replication of the Zika virus. This invention discloses treatment of Zika virus with Lanatoside C alone and in combination with ribavirin or ivermectin.
