Multiple Resonance Ion Ejection at Arbitrary Frequencies
- 总结
- Researchers at Purdue University have developed systems and methods for the ejection of ions from an ion trap. Using double resonance ejection at any arbitrary fixed or varying frequency more than triples the resolution of the ion trap. Given this works on any arbitrary static or dynamic resonance frequency, it results in improved versatility and increased resolution regardless of frequency and method chosen.

- *Abstract
-
- *Background
- Current ion traps used for the ejection of ions use fixed resonance frequency, which is associated with the ions and not the electric field in which they are trapped. This method has performance limitations, including a limited mass/charge range of the product ions and limited mass resolution.
