Biomarkers for Diabetes, Obesity and/or Hypertension
- 技术优势
- The process:ΓÇóInvolves a separation of high-abundant proteins from a biological sampleΓÇóEffectively measures the level of low-abundant biomarker(s) present in a test sampleΓÇóHelps in identifying a subject having, or at risk of developing, diabetes, obesity, and/or hypertension by determining the change in level of biomarker(s) as compared to normal level(s)ΓÇóIs further used in patient selection for required therapeutic treatment as well as drug candidate selection for drug discovery.

- *Abstract
-
Some of the plasma proteins such as albumin are present in high abundance (accounts for about half of plasmaΓÇÖs total protein mass), whereas others are present in extremely low abundance. Currently available diagnostic assays are not fully competent to decipher this enormous variation (~ 10 fold) in concentration of plasma proteins. This novel process is capable of detecting some of the least abundant proteins (as biomarkers) present in biological samples.
