The inventors have developed a novel elastomeric, biodegradable, polyester urethane urea (PEUU) patch. This patch was implanted on the heart in sub-acute infarction stage (2 weeks after infarction) and it was subsequently confirmed that this PEUU implantation could interrupt the adverse remodeling and improve cardiac function.Applications1. Post-infarct patch2. Possibility for pediatric reconstruction procedureAdvantages of this material are:1. Elastic (relevant scale)2. Biodegradable3. Porous4. Good suturability5.
