- The MuCell Co-injection Manifold features the innovative combination of microcellular (MuCell) foam and co-injection technology, resulting in an integrated system to produce high-quality components with significant reduction in weight and improvement of part qualities and productivity.
The technology is an add-on module and can be retrofitted to the existing injection moulding machine and a MuCell system which comprises of an add-on injection unit and a MuCell delivery system. The developed manifold is the key element that allows the integration of the injection unit and the MuCell system to achieve MuCell co-injection.
