- Detailed Technology Description
- This invention presents a vibratory feedback shoe forimproving gait of Parkinson’s patients, who often have trouble withambulation. This simple task of walking, that most of us take for granted, isimpeded by a condition similar to peripheral neuropathy. This invention can modulate both frequency andamplitude of feedback independently, targeting the combination which beststimulates the pacinian corpuscles of the wearer. It is untethered, and thuscan be worn during daily activities. It also records to a microSD card, atapproximately 40 Hz, a data log of foot pressure, tactor status, andaccelerations of the foot.
