In eutrophic and hypertrophic water tanks often experience oxygen deficits from the peak of the growing season. Because of them, the water column then occurs and anaerobic processes. This condition is usually caused by the excessive development of single-celled algae and cyanobacteria, which is manifested by the form of a so-called water flower, which ultimately leads to the self-shading of the aquatic environment. As a result, much of the water column finds itself in the dark, and assimilation processes take place only in the upper 10 to 30 cm.
In the absence of oxygen in the water, bound phosphorus is released from the bottom, which burdens the water with nutrients. In such an environment, decomposition anaerobic processes take place, which burden the aquatic environment with other hazardous gases.
The task of the invention is to create a way of improving the quality of standing water of outdoor water tanks and equipment for the implementation of this method, which would prevent the development of oxygen deficits and help maintain the optimal balance between the biomass of algae and cyanobacteria, zooplankton and fish in water tanks.

This task is solved by creating a way to improve the quality of standing water of outdoor water tanks, in particular hypertrophic and eutrophic ponds with low water transparency according to the presented invention. The essence of the invention is that a closed floating body made of translucent material is placed in the tank so that the body protrudes its shorter part above the surface and its longer part is submerged below the surface. The maximum dimension of the body in the vertical direction is at least twice the maximum size of the body in the horizontal direction. The body transmits light above the water surface with its translucent walls and hollow body under the water surface. Thanks to this, it is possible to engage in the assimilation process also cyanobacteria and algae, which are located under a naturally illuminated layer of water. The body is passive, it does not consume any energy for its function.
