In a typical hospital ormedical imaging clinic, hundreds of thousands of imaging scans (i.e. CT, MRI,X-ray, Ultrasound, etc.) are conducted on patients. These images are thenviewed and diagnosed by a physician trained in detecting and diagnosing any abnormalities. In most hospitals however, there are few orno effective quality assurance measures in place to ensure that these diagnosesare accurate.
Coral Review is a peer review tool which enablesquality improvement for diagnostic reports and images. Through promoting peer training and learning, the tool enables Physicians and Clinical staff to identify and shareopportunities for learning and self-improvement. By promoting this learningamongst peers in medical imaging, peer review enables radiologists to identifyand share opportunities for growth in their practice, resulting in greateroverall quality of care for patients. Coral Review allows clinicians to participate in peer review processeswith minimal interruption to their clinical workflow.
