This invention provides compositions and methods to produce a calcium permeable voltage-sensitive sodium channel of insects.
*Abstract

Cornell researchers have found that calcium-permeable sodium channel proteins and the gene can be used to screen for compounds with insecticidal properties and for development of novel insecticides or insect control methods.
