- *Abstract
-
Artificial silk polymer. Novel hybrid material containing amino acid sequences derived from silkworm protein and synthetic nonpeptide chains. The use of 13C NMR, solid-state FTIR, and X-ray diffraction definitively showed that the polymer formed a predominantly anti-parallel B-sheet structure closely resembling that observed in native B. mori silk in the silk II form.
