Metabotropic Glutamate Receptor 8 (mGluR8) knockout mice
- *Abstract
-
During the ten years he was at the Weill Cornell Medical College, Robert Duvoisin (now at Oregon Health and Science University) cloned the mouse mGluR8 gene and generated a KO mouse.
The mouse has no obvious phenotype, although there is a slight increase in anxiety-related behavior, and an absence of L-AP4 inhibition of synaptic transmission in the lateral perforant path of the hippocampus.
