An oral composition for dental purposes, comprising aphosphorylated sugar (a), a cationic disinfectant (b) and a solvent (c). The oral composition can prevent the adhesion of an oral bacterium to thesurface of a tooth for a long time. Therefore, the oral composition can besuitably used as a mouth wash, a tooth paste, a mouth-rinsing solution, a mouth spray, a coating agent or patch which is intended to be applied to the surface of a tooth or a dental prosthesis, a hyperesthesia-preventingagent, a therapeutic agent for periodontal disease which is intended to be applied to a periodontalpocket, and the like.
