Conserved Noncoding Sequences (cnss) For Mapping Diverged Genomes

技術優勢
Conserved Noncoding Sequences may be highly conserved and allow a set of mapping primers to be used on multiple species.Provides for a robust PCR-based mapping process called "CNS Mapping".
技術應用
PCR-based genetic mapping tool to facilitate designing of primer pairs for mapping of related species.

*Abstract

Molecular mapping of genes, traits, and sequences to chromosomes is an important activity and one in need of improved tools. Conserved Noncoding Sequences (CNSs) have been highly conserved during evolutionary divergence. This high degree of conservation means that PCR primers designed for CNSs can be used in multiple species. The ability to use one set of primers for related species can simplify the process of primer development and mapping. These methods are expected to be highly useful for mapping studies within families of flowering plants, mammalians, or any related group of living things.
