Dental tissue regeneration using a biocompatible polymer scaffold
- 總結
- Diseases affecting the periodontal tissues, including the alveolar bone, periodontal ligament, cementum and gingiva, are the leading cause of tooth loss in adults. Many common tooth repair technologies have poor biocompatibility. This technology is a biocompatible polymer scaffold for regenerating the cementum-periodontal ligament-bone complex. It is useful for restoring dental tissues to prevent or inhibit tooth loss and for augmenting dental implants. Unlike related tissue regeneration methods, this technology allows for regeneration of both bone and ligament tissues in a single scaffold.
